Ultimate Beastmaster is ready for round two.
Netflix has renewed the global competition series for a second season set to launch globally on Dec. 15.
Season two will run 10 episodes and feature 108 competitors from six countries, including Spain, France, Italy, China, India and the U.S. Each episode will see 12 participants, two from each country, try their hand at “The Beast” obstacle course. Nine winners, one from each episode, will then advance to the finals where they will go up against each other in hopes of winning and being crowed the “Ultimate Beastmaster.”
In addition to the six competing countries listed above, this season will also include returning hosts from South Korea (actor Seo Kyung Suk and actress Park Kyeong Rim), Mexico (sportscaster Ines Sainz and actor Luis Ernesto Franco) and Brazil (former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva and comedian and TV personality Rafinha Bastos) who will add commentary on the competition resulting nine customized locals versions of the series around the world.
The six other participating countries will have new hosts, including former NFL player and Fox Sports commentator Tiki Barber and comedian Chris DiStefano for the U.S. The other new hosting duos are as follows:
Spain: TV host Paula Vazquez and Olympic gold medalist Saul Craviotto
France: Actor Gilles Marini and sports journalist Sandy Heribert
Italy: Francesco Facchinetti aka DJ Francesco and supermodel Bianca Balti
China: TV personality Bin Gu (TV Personality) and actress Du Qin Yi
India: Trained martial artist Vidyut Jamwal and actress Sarah Jane Dias
