“These are little boys who are ostracized from society and their families a lot times, and here they are blooming and thriving,” RuPaul said of the contestants of ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race.’
“It’s interesting to watch someone reveal their story, reveals their struggles, and for the audience to actually relate to that,” RuPaul told The Hollywood Reporter on why the audience loves RuPaul’s Drag Race. “Not everybody goes for their goal. Not everybody goes for it, but here are these kids.”
“These are little boys who are ostracized from society and their families a lot times, and here they are blooming and thriving.”
“For boys who play with girls’ things, it’s an act of treason in a male-dominated culture,” the host told THR. “I think people watch for that reason.”
“This life is an incredible experience,” he went on to share with the roundtable. “Don’t take it too seriously, and try everything. Use all the colors in the crayon box.”
