Golden Globes Scorecard: Wins by Studio, Network, Film, Program


Fox Searchlight and ‘Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri’ led on the film side, while HBO and ‘Big Little Lies’ topped the TV categories.

It was a big night for Fox Searchlight and HBO, which took home the most statuettes at Sunday’s Golden Globe Awards among the film studios and TV networks, respectively.

Fox Searchlight earned six awards, four of which were for Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. The Martin McDonagh film won for best actress, screenplay, supporting actor and motion picture, drama. The other two were for Guillermo del Toro’s The Shape of Water, which took home the prizes for best director for del Toro and best original score. A24 earned three awards, for best actress in a motion picture – musical or comedy and best motion picture – musical or comedy for Lady Bird and for best actor in a motion picture – musical or comedy for The Disaster Artist. Focus Features (Darkest Hour), Magnolia Pictures (In the Fade), NEON/30WEST (I, Tonya), 20th Century Fox (The Greatest Showman) and Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures (Coco) each won in one category.

HBO led the TV pack with awards for its miniseries Big Little Lies, with prizes going for best supporting actress in a limited series or a motion picture made for television, best actress in a limited series or a motion picture made for television, best actor in a limited series or a motion picture made for television and best television limited series or motion picture made for television.

Streaming platforms also fared well among the Globe winners, with Amazon and Hulu taking home two honors apiece. Amazon stood out with its new Amy Sherman-Palladino series, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, winning awards for best actress in television series – musical or comedy and best television series – musical or comedy. Hulu won for The Handmaid’s Tale, which nabbed the statuettes for best television series – drama and best actress in a television series – drama. FX (Fargo), NBC (This Is Us) and Netflix (Master of None) each won one award.
